Applicants must be fluent in Greek and have a University degree. Native speakers with a Greek University degree would be ideal for the positions. The love of the Greek language and desire to teach children is a prerequisite. Classes are held on weekday afternoons 4:30-6:30pm, and Saturdays 9:00-1:00pm. Classes meet once or twice a week depending on the age group. Compensation will be between $20-$30 dollars per hour. Greek Language Teacher Assistance We are looking for people that speak Greek and are interesting in working with young kids. Teacher assistants provide instructional and clerical support for classroom teachers, allowing teachers more time for lesson planning and teaching. Teacher assistants tutor and assist children in learning class material using the teacher’s lesson plans, providing students with individualized attention. Teacher assistants also supervise students in the schoolyard, or on field trips. Classes are held on weekday afternoons 4:30-6:30pm, and Saturdays 9:00-1:00pm. Classes meet once or twice a week depending on the age group. Compensation varies based on experience and qualifications. Computer & Greek Language Instructor Fanari Academy is seeking a qualified computer & Greek language instructor to teach at its Sunnyvale(CA) based school. Applicants must hold a degree in computer science or related field and speak fluently Greek. Some teaching experience is desired as well as programming skills. This position is designed to enhance teaching Greek with the integration of computers. Strong communication skills and the ability to use existing software and plan, develop and implement new software for teaching Greek is desired.
